Divas Boss Lady’s Moment of Transperancy-Motivational Moment

My Moment of Transparency to help encourage others not to give up…
The biggest challenge for me in 2013, among many, was having to be hospitalized for 4 days, taken out of work, having procedures after procedures to locate the problem, and putting a hold on pursuing my dream. I felt as if everything I had worked so hard to regain and add was over.  I thought this way for only a little while.

I fought depression and was classified as high risk depression. What many don’t know about me is that almost 3 years ago I tried to take my life twice and no one knew it. Because of this battle with suicide and depression, I lost everything in my past, as I just didn’t care or want to live anymore.  So for me to work so hard to get past myself, learn how to forgive and let go, in addition to learning how to love myself, was no easy journey for me. However, I had made it to that place and was faced with this same time of situation again.

I suffered with depression for most of my life and didn’t even realize it for myself.  I wore a mask. Many were use to seeing me in my mask so they never knew the real me.  So for me to face going back down this road was another challenge within itself.  I was determined that I would not give up or stop caring about my life. I would win this battle. I would not lose anymore but make wise decisions towards my future  to gain.

I begin to take ownership of my past actions, my mistakes, and applied principles that would ease the level of stress in which I was carrying.  I prayed to GOD and asked GOD for direction in which HE gave me.  I began to follow out the instructions, learn how to say “NO”, take better care of myself, organize my life by letting go of things I didn’t need for the moment, in addition to sacrificing for my future. Thus causing me to regain steps towards my future. Those steps turned into leaps. Those leaps landed me into places in which I felt I had lost ground, but soon found out that GOD had a bigger plan for my life.

Today, I make steps towards the bigger picture everyday. I don’t focus on the end result, but focus on the task at hand and being successful with each one. I use my life’s journey as a reminder of where not to return and how I can make someone’s life better than where they are right now.   I am a “Success Story” and no matter the obstacle you may face in your life, you too can be a “Success Story” if you dare not give up.
